A Bespoke Hexagonal Oak-Framed Orangery in Wantage, Oxfordshire

Back in 2023, we were contacted by a lovely client in Wantage, Oxfordshire, who wanted to breathe new life into their home by replacing their original timber conservatory with a bespoke oak-framed orangery. Their request was for us to retain the original footprint and plinth, which had been in place since the mid-1990s and had once supported a charming Victorian-style conservatory.

Our team set about designing something truly special – an oak-framed orangery that followed the same unique hexagonal shape, while adding the warmth, strength, and timeless beauty that oak brings. To really make the most of the space, we included a central roof lantern, allowing natural light to pour in and giving the orangery a bright, welcoming feel all year round.

Earlier this year, the project came back to life, and we were delighted to see it through to completion. The finished result is a space that feels both fresh and elegant, a place the family can enjoy for years to come.
